The average duration of the visit is 1h15 min. Ticket sales stop half an hour before closing. Payment can be made in cash or by debit card. Before or after your visit you are welcome in our cosy museumcafé.

Arriving by bicycle
The museum is easy to reach by bicycle. Labelled 'bike-friendly café' and official information point for tourism Westhoek, everything has been thought of. There is a bicycle parking area with a charging point for ebikes while you enjoy a local beer or a delicious meal. Moreover, various walking and cycling tours depart from the museum. The Ypres Salient cycle tour literally passes on the museum's doorstep.
By public transport
Busline 84 stops at the stop Zillebeke - Bellewaerde every hour. This stop is a 5 minutes walk (500 m) from the museum. This line also stops at the Ypres railway station of. The station is 5 km from the museum.
Arriving by car
The war museum Hooge Crater is located in the hamlet 'Hooge', on the road Ypres-Menin (the Menin Road), some four kilometres east of Ypres and not far from the theme park 'Bellewaerde'. It is easily accessible via the main roads. Follow N8 and the brown signs "Bellewaerde". There is sufficient parking space in front of and next to the museum.
